my story

hello! i started this blog when i was in my early 20s, single, and living in the windy city. it began as a way to share my new city with friends and family who were scattered all over the country; it turned out to be a four year love letter to chicago. my goodbye can be read here.

i am now in my 30s, a mom!!, and have returned to my beloved virginia. you will find that i write not only about myself and the delight i find in motherhood and marriage, but also the struggles in navigating grief and loss during what should be the happiest season of life.
